Life is stressful on a regular day. Now with a raging pandemic and all of the long-term disruptions it has caused for all of us, not to mention an election season like no other, life is even more stressful and our nervous systems may be responding to that long term stress in ways that aren’t always helpful:
Increased worry and anxiety about our health and that of our loved ones
to name just a few.
When we’re stressed we literally leave our body and become out of touch with the very inner resources we need to de-stress ourselves. If we don’t address them, these issues can become chronic and affect our emotional and physical health.
This workshop will teach you simple embodiment skills to start off the new year grounded and resilient. These skills can be used on the spot in stressful situations at home, with a spouse, your children, and at work with colleagues to “down-regulate” your nervous system, come into your body, feel more grounded and have greater capacity to respond to the situation from a more regulated place.
In this workshop you will learn:
~ How to recognize stress on a physical and physiological level
~ On-the-spot embodiment practices to do with yourself, your spouse, and your children to quickly reduce stress and reactivity
~ Practical skills to tap into your nervous system’s innate ability to heal during those times when you’re less stressed or not stressed to help you build up a reserve of inner resilience
